About us

WHAT WE DO

What We Do

At SOAR, we support adolescents who have had some involvement with the juvenile justice system and are now working to get back on track. Through individualized support and guidance, we help these young people build positive futures.

Our mission is to encourage adolescents to invest in their future, empowering them to become responsible, motivated advocates for their own lives. We connect with each individual on a personal level and develop customized programs that address their unique needs.

Our vision is to provide services that guide adolescents toward successful futures and inspire them to stay focused, even in the face of negative influences or challenging circumstances.

We understand that many of the youth we serve feel compelled to participate in programs, which can lead to low engagement and resistance. To counter this, we design programs that foster a strong sense of responsibility, purpose, and excitement — creating an environment where young people feel motivated to participate rather than mandated.

How We Do It

As a community-based organization serving at-risk youth ages 7–19 across the Denver Metro area, SOAR is committed to meeting young people where they are and helping them move forward. We achieve this by:

  • Tailoring our programs to meet the specific needs of the youth we serve, ensuring each experience is meaningful and impactful.
  • Recognizing and respecting the multicultural backgrounds of our adolescents and appreciating how this influences personal growth and progress.
  • Building strong connections with each youth based on understanding of their family values, communication styles, needs, and emotions.
  • Taking an innovative and comprehensive approach that sets SOAR apart in how we engage and empower the young people in our programs.

Our Mission

To encourage adolescents to invest in their future, helping them to become responsible and motivated advocates for their life.

Our Vision

To provide services that guide adolescents toward successful future endeavors and encourage them to stay focused regardless of unfavorable influences or circumstances.

Our Guiding Principles

At SOAR, we believe every young person holds incredible potential. Our guiding principles shape a thoughtful, inclusive approach designed to support multicultural and marginalized adolescents. We are committed to ensuring they have the resources, opportunities, and encouragement they need to grow, succeed, and thrive.

Our Team

The SOAR team is a passionate group of individuals dedicated to promoting strength, healing, equity, growth, and care, working alongside each young person to help them overcome challenges and unlock their full potential.
